A night of glam, rewards for Afni PH’s ‘champion’ employees
Afni Philippines’ top performers were treated to a night of glam and rewards at the annual Afni Champion Employee (ACE) Recognition Night.
On April 2, the virtual event welcomed over 200 participants, including U.S.-based clients and leaders and Philippines leaders and nominees, most of whom dressed up to the night’s theme of black and studded.
“I’d like to do a special call-out to our clients … and say how meaningful it is that you joined us today,” said Chief Operating Officer Kathy Poley in her opening remarks. “I also want to give a shout-out to our leaders. Without your leadership, this wouldn’t be possible.”
Tough competition
Of Afni Philippines’ more than 6,500 employees, 110 were nominated, half of which won the ACE award. The recognition program follows a set of criteria for monthly, quarterly, and annual recognitions, including demonstrating Afni core values, business contribution, and more, depending on the category.
“Afni is big when it comes to rewards and recognition,” said Human Resources Director Joyce Caseñas during the presentation for the judging criteria. “We want to acknowledge employees who have worked above and beyond and exceeded expectations.”
ACE awardees get a plaque and cash incentives each. They were also treated with a special charcuterie box delivered straight to their doorstep.
Saturday night live
The ACE recognition program marks its fifth year, coinciding with Afni Philippines' 10th anniversary. There was more than enough reason to level it up, adding features to the program that weren’t there in the past.
The ACE Recognition Night was opened for viewing on the Afni PH YouTube channel for all employees for the first time. It was traditionally exclusive to ACE nominees and leadership in the past.
“In honor of our 10th anniversary in the Philippines, we want to make the ACE 2021 Recognition Night the perfect opportunity for the Afni family to celebrate the amazing work we’ve done over the past year,” said Human Resources Senior Director Melanie Lara in an earlier interview.
A treat for all
We agreed with Country Manager and Vice President for Philippines Operations Khalid Khursheed when he said, “Being nominees for such a big event is a big deal.” Being nominated “shows how much you guys performed” and what “impact you’ve made at Afni and our client’s performance.”
Thus, all nominees were treated to Share Treats e-vouchers for their "midnight snacks" to enjoy during the program.
Entertainment and rewards
Entertainment and raffle draw kept the program extra fun!
All-woman group Rouge Band took care of the entertainment, performing their version of well-known tunes, including those from The Corrs and The Cranberries.
Afnimazing prizes were also given out to attendees via raffle draws! Those watching the live stream on YouTube also qualified for raffle draws with PHP500 worth of e-vouchers as prizes.
Together, we grow
Aligned with the 10th anniversary theme, Khalid shared exciting updates on Afni’s growth and how he thinks ACE nominees and awardees will play a vital role in realizing that.
“We have more client requirements in hiring than we can hire and deliver, just because there are not too many months left and there’s a limited number of trainers,” Khalid shared in his closing remarks. “So, that’s a good problem to have. The clients are putting us in a position where they come back to us and ask us to have more agents or increase our headcount. So, thank you very much for all that you do.”
He added, “I know that you guys are the best of the best in the industry. I know that if we made it to the last two and half years, the next eight months should be a piece of cake.”
