Afni’s Lee Tewell Recognized as 2016 Illinois Job Honor Award Winner
Afni employee Lee Tewell of Bloomington has been named a 2016 individual Illinois Job Honor Award winner by America’s Job Honor Awards. The award celebrates people who overcome barriers to employment, and the employers who hire them.
Lee received the award at the Illinois Job Honor Awards presented in partnership with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and Illinois SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management) at the annual New Laws Forum on November 30, 2016 in Lisle, Illinois.
Lee graduated from high school with honors and earned a college degree in criminal justice. Even with those credentials, Lee found it hard to find employment. That’s when he connected with Normal-based Marcfirst and they encouraged him to apply at Afni.
Lee started his career with Afni in September of 2015 and is part of transfer agent team located in Bloomington.
“Lee is a great asset to Afni,” said Ryan Coan, Afni supervisor. “He is a team player who comes in daily, focused, and ready to go. We are the ones who are honored to work with Lee.”
